Jack Batten doesn't have a Wikipage.
Being interested in Canadian mystery novels, I ran across such a novel written by Toronto's Jack Batten. Leaving it aside, I returned to the dwelling unit this afternoon (where I tend to dwell) and fired up the 'Uncle Eugene' connection.
In googling Batten's name, there were a handful of links given, but no Wikipedia page. There was a page for his wife, Majorie Harris. And she also has an active website of her own.
So I checked a McLelland.com author page. How old is he? I don't know. Bibliography? I don't know. Alive? I don't know - I hope so.
The novel I saw was published in 1987. In 2009, he was interviewed by David Cole. That interview was transcripted this past July at Mystery Fanfare.
