Last November I wrote about the blurring of Holocaust Education Week with Remembrance Day. A touchy subject perhaps prone to inaccuracy of honest debate.
Well, there is a specific Holocaust Remembrance Day of its own, away from the international Military day. Here in Ontario it was provincally introduced during the late 1990s.
Scheduled in accordance to the traditional Jewish calendar; Yom HaShoah will take place this next Wednesday, from April 18th to 19th, beginning upon the evening.
There is also another formally recognized date, for "International Holocaust Remembrance Day" January 27th, as established by the U.N. General Assembly in 2005.
