Is the idea of a dress-up centennial memorial cruise for the Titianic Sinking in poor taste? To me it seems on par with perhaps re-enacting Sept. 11th, 2001 as part of a flash mob.
Many of the museum's and the ceremonies - of course those are valid. Although, even ceremonies ought to be limited towards people, townspeople and families, that were actually affected. On Remembrance Day each year, all types of people show up and will wear poppies; non-military individuals still don't dress up as period foot soldiers and generals nor participate in the memorial parades themselves!
