    Toronto's (other) heroes in blue.

Brought to greater attention via CBC Toronto is the arrest of restaurant owner Naveen Palopady. After fighting back against a chronic local crook, the Toronto Police instead arrested Palopady AND let the thief go free of any charges.
Can you say David Chen? (Last year's unjustly arrested small business owner.)
I would give the 'cop on the beat' a benefit of a post-G20 group beatdown doubt, except this isn't a Law Court issue. Yet. Being charged means that the Police themselves have issued the charges, and decided non-charges, to those involved.
It follows an earlier court case ended this week of a woman set free from a co-murder rap. She was only washing her repeatedly knifer boyfriend's clothing.
Const. Wendy Dummond is depicted as one of Metro's Finest's spokespersons. Who is the cop that decided to press the charges? Against Naveen? And not against the criminal, previously captured on video surveillance, as well?
If either Chen or Palopady ever run for office, in Toronto, they'll get my vote!
